ESVAGT - Safety and support at sea

ESVAGT is a high-quality provider of safety and support at sea. Built on a strong foundation of highly experienced and well-trained crew, good quality vessels and equipment, ESVAGT has been the industry-leading performer in terms of safety and support at sea since 1981.

The company was founded with the purpose of providing emergency and rescue services to the Danish oil and gas industry. Today, ESVAGT operates a fleet of more than 40 purpose-built vessels providing services to both the growing wind industry and the maturing oil and gas industries.

ESVAGT is headquartered in Esbjerg, DK where approximately 100 employees are working in the offices and workshops and further 1.000 working offshore onboard the vessels. ESVAGT also has offices in Aberdeen, UK and Copenhagen, DK.

The company is owned by 3i Infrastructure plc and AMP Capital.

Wind

The fleet of Service Operations Vessels (SOV’s) consists of 7 modern vessels, designed and purpose-built to the latest and most sophisticated standards.

ESVAGT has a further 2 SOV’s under construction for delivery in 2021.

The SOV concept is very flexible and versatile and offers the wind industry a wide range of facilities and options such as state-of-the-art motion compensated gangways, powerful cranes and fully equipped workshops. The pleasant accommodation facilities offer technicians a home away from home.

One of the unique features to ESVAGT’s SOV concept is the ESVAGT Safe Transfer Boats (STB). Designed and developed by ESVAGT, the STBs’ incorporates 40 years of operation excellence in boat operations to offer maximum flexibility to the SOVs.

With the STBs qualified as a shore-going daughter craft and capacity for transferring cargo as well as personnel, the STB-concept helps liberate the SOV from many time-consuming port calls.

Annually, ESVAGT transfers more than 75.000 people between the SOV’s and wind turbines using the motions compensated gangways and more than 40.000 people by using the STB.

ESVAGT is constantly developing and improving our services to the wind industry to meet customer demands and wishes. One recent upgrade is our joint venture with EWPL Ocean to offer offshore wind turbine blade inspections and analysis using high-tech drones launched from the ESVAGT SOVs or other ESVAGT vessels.

Oil and Gas

The ESVAGT fleet of Emergency Rescue and Response Vessels (ERRV’s) has been growing steadily; from two converted fishing trawlers in 1981 to a fleet of 33 purpose built ERRV’s today.

Specialized to fit customer needs and demands, the ESVAGT ERRV’s provide a variety of offshore services to the oil and gas industry. From stand-by-duties, fast response and supply to oil spill recovery and firefighting, we are there to secure people, assets and the environment.

To this day, ESVAGT has been directly involved in rescuing 148 people from the sea and has participated in several salvage and firefighting operations.

Additionally, ESVAGT can supply anchor handling, tanker assistance and towing. ESVAGT can provide inspections by air via drones or underwater with our ROV-setup (Remotely Operated Underwater Vehicle).

Recognized as a high quality and responsible operator, ESVAGT has been trusted with supporting and supplying operations in delicate environments such as the Arctics.
